SUMMARY:

The so-called Affirmative Action public policies are bills aimed at the inclusion of socially marginalized groups in the most varied sectors of society, they seek to remove structural barriers that segregate the different groups that make up the Brazilian population, whether physical, social or institutional. An example of Affirmative Actions implemented by public higher education institutions are the Racial Quotas, which guarantees a reserve of vacancies offered to the black population, but guaranteeing the access of this population to higher education is not synonymous with their permanence within the institutions. In view of this, this ongoing study aims to analyze the trajectory of access, permanence and post-permanence of self-declared black quota women who graduated from undergraduate courses offered by UESPI in 2016. It is characterized as a descriptive qualitative approach research, which will use multiple procedures systematized in three stages: bibliographic research, documentary research and document analysis. It seeks to reflect the academic trajectory of these black women within the institution will be necessary from the access to their memories and life history, which will be written in autobiographical memorials. For this purpose, the works of authors considered as theoretical frameworks will be read and appropriated, namely: Lélia Gonzales (2020), Cida Bento (2022), Neusa Santos (2021), Collins and Bilge (2021), Jailson Sousa Santos (2003), Delcele Mascarenhas Queiroz (2001), João Feres Júnior et al. (2018), Kabengele Munanga (2006), among other thinkers who also dialogue with the theme of ethnic-racial relations will be. Thus, it will be possible to identify the presence of factors that were decisive for them to complete the undergraduate course and investigate their respective post-permanence processes, considering that the possession of the diploma would improve their chances of entering the labor market and consequently improve their socioeconomic situation.
