SUMMARY:

This research brings a social approach and an anthropological aspect to the health of black women in the Teixeiras Community of Itiruçu/Bahia. The study in question analyzes narratives from six Black women from the aforementioned rural community about health promotion policies and, at the same time, points out the adverse health conditions they experience. In this field, the objective of this research is to investigate health care practices and which factors interfere socially and culturally. In this sense, it is necessary to problematize racism and health in this territory with quilombola remnants. Therefore, it is necessary to know the knowledge and practices in black women's health in different cycles. In this scenario, descriptive research with a qualitative approach was used based on the arguments of Maria Cecília de Souza Mynaio (2014). From a methodological perspective, semi-structured individual interviews were used to create data without losing sight of life stories, belongings and community experiences. The narratives, memories and identity experiences of these women and their ancestral legacies make up the corpus of this study. Thus, as a result of this work, a final product entitled Virtual Museum was formatted, where its multi-epistemic composition expands access to the life stories of black women from community of Teixeiras. It is considered that this study opened a range of information about exclusions, social inequalities, racism that affects the Black population in terms of health, as well as allowing analyzes of the limitations regarding Black women in Teixeiras and also enabled (re) discoveries of new investigative paths that can give new meaning to other perspectives on these women giving plural visibility and carrying out more immediate actions, respecting their existence and coexistence.
