ECO HOUSING TYPOLOGIES AND URBAN ECOSYSTEMS: architecture and eco-urban occupation in the Itacaré-Una, BA
Eco-housing. Eco-urban occupation. Urban ecosystems. Ecosystem Interactions.
This study aimed to comparatively analyze small eco-urban occupations in the Itacaré – Una, BA axis and their inherent processes, considering eco-housing typologies and the interaction with pre-existing and concomitant systemic environments. Such occupations are located on the southern coast of the State of Bahia, more precisely on the Itacaré-Una axis. The methodological approach was based on “mixed methods research”, which presupposes the integration of quanti-qualitative research techniques. The procedure for data collection included the following steps: 1 Systematic review study regarding the conceptual articulation between what is meant by “eco-urban occupations”, “eco-housing” and “ecosystem interaction”. 2 Documentary research focusing on secondary data to understand the local urban occupational dynamics; outlining of the social groups and socioeconomic profile of the owners whose dwellings fit into the bioconstruction typology. 3. Fieldwork - visit to eco-urban occupations for: a) photography, sketches (freehand drawings) in loco; b) application of an observation guide (Framework prepared) for the analysis of urban design and architectural typologies. The analysis included the triangulation of data through the Content Analysis method, which allowed understanding the records (documentary and arising from the observation framework) considering the parametric categories: "eco urban occupations", "eco housing" and "ecosystem interaction".
