Although there are initiatives in agroecology and organic production in the Costa do Descobrimento region, detailed information about their scope is not found. Thus, the objective of this work was the elaboration of an Agroecological Cartography, aiming to characterize and spatialize the certified productive units of the municipalities in the region, and to suggest potential areas for expansion of this alternative. First, an analysis of Bahian organic production was carried out, using data from the National Register of Organic Producers in the State of Bahia, observing the space-time series from 2014 to 2020 and the types of certifying entities operating in the Identity Territories . For the theoretical-methodological proposal of an “Agroecological Cartography”, an integrative literature review on the terminology was carried out, by consulting the CAPES and Google Scholar platforms. One hundred and eighty seven results were obtained, of which thirty-three works were analyzed. For Agroecological Cartography in Costa do Descobrimento, the literature review, the survey and analysis of secondary data from the region and of primary data were considered, covering technical visits to five properties, of the seven certified during the collection period. It was found that the State of Bahia has followed the national growth scenario, with a strong influence of the Participatory Guarantee Systems, from the years 2015 and 2017, but, from 2018, there was a significant decrease in new registrations. The integrative review indicated that there is no theoretical-methodological proposition about the terminology, a proposal that was developed and incorporated in this study. In the Costa do Descobrimento Identity Territory, only two cities have registered with the CNPO, Belmonte, with third party certified organic cocoa production, and Porto Seguro, which concentrates agro-ecological production through participatory certification and with the technical and logistical support of city hall. The productive units analyzed are located in the vicinity of important forest fragments of the Atlantic Forest and hydrographic basins, due to these factors and, through the survey of sustainability indicators during technical visits, a map was created identifying ecosystem services, conservation units, agroecological fairs and potential areas for agroecological development in the region, considering the ecological connectivity of rural landscapes. It was concluded that Agroecological Cartography collaborates with the systematization of data on agroecology and organic production, and can be an instrument to support the promotion of agroecology, the systematization of data on such alternatives, as well as the institution of public policies in a given territory and other environmental planning processes.
