RESUMO:

The proximity to the urban/urbanized environment is one of the biggest challenges faced in the Management of Protected Areas, and this understanding is corroborated by the data presented by SEMMA/PMVC, in its annual management report 2017, in which the five the main problems and impacts that exist there are: 1) removal of vegetation; 2) extraction of minerals used in civil construction; 3) irregular water uptake; 4) capture of wild animals (especially birds) and 5) irregular disposal of solid waste. In addition to these, the pressure of urbanization on the Conservation Unit has implications for its uses and management. The realization of a diagnosis, as proposed in this work, methodologically classified as a case study, identified implications of location on the management of the CU, and the research in question should focus on the possible existence of conflicts between the demands of the city and the UC with regard to established and necessary management, in view of recommended and consolidated practices in regulations and previous studies on the management of protected areas. In this sense, the literature review was the main source of information, which, analyzed and correlated with field research, helped in the preparation of the final product, which proposes the design of an assertive management model, established in view of the needs and possibilities of the PMSP and its administration, without losing sight of the dynamics between the UC and the city, the study was carried out with the aim of collaborating to better achieve its installation purposes: to conserve ecosystems and protect the environmental heritage.
