RESUMO:

The term identity can be understood as the set of formative elements that, when assimilated, converge into something unique and proper. These elements can be particular, collective, social, visible, invisible, unexpected and changeable. In this perspective, it is necessary to expand the linguistic and cultural discussion of black deaf subjects, overflowing the theme with ethnic-racial issues, essential to the formation of the individual. Therefore, because it is multiple in its formative process, the identity arises from situations experienced in the different social environments. This research, restricted to the school space, seeks to understand how the process of formation of black deaf identities occurs in the municipality of Teixeira de Freitas - BA, under the perspective of the double difference and identity intersectionality. To this end, 10 black deaf people aged 18 years and over who are linked to the Deaf Association of Teixeira de Freitas - ASTEF, who use Libras fluently as a form of communication and who have completed or are in school time. The research will be qualitative in order to gather data that are close to other realities and different social environments. As a theoretical contribution will be used diverse field conceptions that discuss the concepts of identity, sign language and Afro-Brazilian culture, necessary for the discursive-methodological process. As a result of this work will be created accessible audiovisual material containing terms, themes and concepts on Afro-Brazilian culture in Brazilian sign language that will be made available to the community, especially the deaf community, through the internet and / or social media. The product is a way of disseminating the signs of Afro-Brazilian culture among the deaf community and, thus, promoting discussions on ethno-racial issues and the creation of new signals.
