RESUMO:
This work aims to present the development of the research process linked to the Post-Graduate Program in Teaching and Ethnic-Racial Relations of the Federal University of Southern Bahia that focuses on the histories and cultures of the Pataxó people of Cumuruxatiba, in order to construct a an artistic-scenic show that is capable of questioning the absolute truths of Brazilian historiography and constructing another history for Brazil, from the perspective of these communities. We are based on the principles of the Experimental Theater of the Negro, by Abdias do Nascimento, and the Teatro do Oprimido, by Augusto Boal, to defend theater as a powerful tool for knowledge and social transformation. In the methodological way we dialogue 1) with fundamental principles of Pedagogy of the Oppressed, by Paulo Freire. 2) With all the arsenal of exercises and techniques of the Theater of the Oppressed. 3) With Sociopoetica, by Jacques Gauthier, fundamentally, in the recognition of the five points that characterize it. 4) And in the Political-Pedagogical Proposal of Vila-Escola Projeto de Gente, of Cumuruxatiba, since it is based on the principles of autonomy, flexibility, participation and integration with the community. From all these dialogues will be created, a group called Mutirão of research and artistic creation, responsible for the development of the artistic-scenic show, being formed by the proponent of this research, students, indigenous leaders and teachers of indigenous and non-indigenous, formal and non-formal forms of Cumuruxatiba. The joint effort will be held twice a week, in order to promote spaces for RESEARCH, ARTISTIC CREATION and CONVIVANCES NEAR THE VILLAGES.
