RESUMO:

This report aims to demonstrate the work process of the video documentary "Sewing the life with iron wires", which will be presented as a final product to the Post-Graduate Program in Teaching and Ethnic-Racial Relations. Showing aspects of the process of subjectivation that focuses on the construction of documentary. The elaboration of the final product runs through bibliographic and film studies, especially on national documentary in order to introduce the conceptual and instrumental tools that guide the chosen cinematic language. In addition to seeking to understand the importance of life narratives in the contemporary Brazilian documentary film. The documentary will be composed of narrative interviews of black female quotaters who entered the State University of Bahia - Department of Education / Campus X (UNEB / DEDC-Campus X) in Teixeira de Freitas, Bahia, through a selection of vestibular, between the years 2004 to 2016. In addition to the fragments of images and sounds that bring out the feelings of these women in relation to their academic trajectories. The recorded narratives bring up the challenges and achievements of these women within the university environment, bringing us the "voice" (argument) of this documentary: under what conditions do these black-and-white bodies remain within the Department of Education - Campus X? . Inspired by the writings of Evaristo Conceição in his book "Olhos D'Água" in the short story "We combined not to die", and also in listening to the narratives came the name of this documentary: "Sewing the life with wires of iron". We believe that in addition to being poetic, it synthesizes the lives of these women, who daily sew their lives with iron threads. Thus, the hourly results obtained after the transcription of the narrative interviews, and the interventions performed with these women, invite us to problematize their Life histories within the university, through the challenges that remain in this institutional structure when we speak of a body-black-woman and / in the extreme south of Bahia.
