RESUMO:

This project deals with the memories and narratives of young LGBT people from the countryside, specifically from / in the municipality of Prado / BA, as well as scenes from the researcher's autobiographical memories. The proposal is part of the activities of the Graduate Program in Teaching and Ethnic-Racial Relations - PPGER, at the Institute of Humanities, Arts and Sciences - IHAC at Universidade Federal do Sul da Bahia - UFSB. It has the general objective of: Analyzing the memoirs and narratives of young gays and lesbians in rural areas about their educational processes in Rural Education; and as specific objectives: a) To problematize the categories of femininity and masculinity in rural areas; b) Reflect on the position of the rural school vis-à-vis LGBTQIA + students; c) Identify the control mechanisms of dissident bodies in Rural Education; d) Promote non-sexist and LGBTphobic dialogues with rural Education teachers through a proposal for continuing education. The research will make use of the reminiscences of gay and lesbian students from rural education, using semi-structured interviews and autobiographical scenes of the researcher. The research is justified as necessary to break the silencing of gender and sexuality issues in rural education, where categories with class bias still remain legitimate, requiring an intersectional analysis that dialogues with issues of gender, sexuality and ethnic-racial relations.
