RESUMO:

This dissertation aimed to investigate the experiences of black women who have homoerotic sexual practices. Based on decolonial studies, emphasized through the “modern / colonial gender system”, the central analysis of this study is aimed at women who are repeatedly subjected to discursive, historical and political erasures from patriarchal, racist and heteronormative society. The author investigated, through short courses and interviews, the types of care and self-care in sexual health that are adopted by women whose sexual practices escape the imposed heteronormativity, with the municipality of Teixeira de Freitas, Bahia, as their field of action. The conclusive argument is that care for women is based on sexual practices, however, from a heterosexual perspective, which reinforces the idea that homoerotic practices among women is not understood as sex and, therefore, the need to sexual health care of this public. Thus, the assistance of these women must be based on sexual practices and not necessarily on sexual orientation.
