AFRICAN STUDIES AT BAIAN FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES: IMPACTS CAUSED IN LICENSING COURSES FROM LAW 10.639 / 03.
African studies, undergraduate, teacher training, Bahia federal universities.
The present work aims to analyze the impacts of African studies disciplines in undergraduate courses at federal universities around the State of Bahia faced the promulgation of law10.639/03. This work also intends to assess the necessity of a debate in this area under the undergraduate courses of the higher education in Bahia in order to understand (if there was) and what were the institutional impacts of this insertion. The production of data took place through 3/3 interview via internet with seven professors who teach subjects in the areas of African studies, which were examined through the discourse analysis. From the results, we highlight that there have been significant advances in the trajectory of the African studies in undergraduate courses in our state, mainly in History courses, however, we perceived the lack of discussions in other areas of knowledge. We found that professors in interior universities still face difficulties in accessing specialized bibliography. The didactic product is going to be a website with these professors’ interviews and the bibliography discussed by them in the university classroom, seeking to make them even more accessible to teachers of the basic education and the public in general.
