RESUMO:

This research seeks to perform an analysis of the implementation of Law 10.639/03 in
the city of Santa Cruz Cabrália, Bahia, Brazil, from the perspective of management in
education. For this, it walks through multi-methodological paths and uses the historicaldialectical
method as a basis, with a quali-quantitative approach and exploratory nature.
It also associates bibliographical research, semi-structured interviews and data
analysis. Therefore, the present study has as its field of research educational
professionals who work directly with management and application of laws and
educational guidelines and focuses on understanding the commitment of these
professionals to anti-racist education, bringing an overview of the current scenario, the
paths taken and to be developed, and the challenges overcome and to be overcome for
the implementation of the law in Santa Cruz Cabrália's education. This research also
strives to elaborate a product for the continuing education of managers and other
education professionals, aiming to provide them with Racial Literacy, in order to develop
skills that allow them to understand the importance of antiracist and counter-colonial
practices in education, as a primordial way for it to fulfill its social function as a tool to
build a more just and egalitarian society.
