TITLE:

KEY WORDS:

Ethnic-Racial Relations; Science teaching; READING; literature

PAGES: 96
BIG AREA: Ciências Humanas
AREA: Educação
SUMMARY:

The main objective of this research is to analyze the literary production “Quarto de Espejo _ diary of a favelada” (2014) by Carolina Maria de Jesus (1913-1977) and its applicability in science classes in an aphrodystopian scientific fictional approach in the final years, seeking to identify from the thematic poles the worldview of the narrator/character corresponding to the economic, political and social scenarios that reveal the place that black women occupy in the texts of the time. With the support of theoretical references on the theme of the historical process of the construction of science and its applicability in the classroom, the concepts of coloniality and decoloniality are presented, according to Quijano (2005; 2010), Moitinho (2021), Pinheiro (2018; 2019), Ballestrin (2013), among others. To support the power relationship in education and student satisfaction, Snyders (1988), Freire (1987; 2005; 2011) are mobilized, highlighting the importance of teaching and the joy of learning, valuing the knowledge that each student brings with them. . Issues of race, gender, class and subalternity are presented by Fonseca (2011), Almeida (2020), Azêvedo (1990), Buther (2021), Campos (2008), Gomes (2008; 1996), hooks (2017; 2019; 2020), among others. The study and analysis of the literature of black women in the classroom becomes a fundamental tool for teaching and learning about ethnic differences, in addition to adding knowledge in several curricular components, mainly in science classes, allowing, among other aspects, the problematization and questioning. of the silencing of black female voices in the national literary canon. To think of Science and Literature as a source of scientific pleasure is to think and build a bridge between the two cultures, a creative and free union capable of leading students to engage in a dialogue with the world and with a school curriculum that contributes to the intellectual, social and cultural development. From the methodological point of view, an explanatory research will be carried out, made possible by the literature review and studies carried out in the educational field. This review seeks to identify the factors that determine and contribute to the invisibility of female bodies, literature and reading the world from the teaching of science.
