LITERATURE BY BLACK WOMEN IN THE CLASSROOM: REPORTS OF A SCHOOL EXPERIENCE IN PEDRO CANÁRIO
Black literature; identities; Literary Canon; Resume; Literary gathering.
The present project formulates the proposal of analysis of a pedagogical experience with literature written by black women - Conceição Evaristo de Paulina Chiziane -, which will take place at the Manoel Duarte da Cunha State Center for Elementary and High School, in Pedro Canário-ES, with 1st grade high school students. Stuart Hall (2006) points out the importance that culture/literature can play in the formation of identities. Through it, too, the teacher is instrumentalized in multiple discourses and ways of dealing with the theme of diversity. From the methodology of literary gatherings, it is intended to approach, during the execution of the research, themes such as black literature, literary canon, identities, curriculum and Law 11.645/2008, in order to promote anti-racist reflections in the classroom, which allow young people involved a more detailed reflection on their own identity constructions. Finally, I will articulate the theoretical categories mentioned, seeing in them the best dialogue in defense of literature as a component that can generate social balance, in addition to denouncing inequality of gender, race and social class.
