IDENTIFICATION OF PLANTED TREES OF THE GENUS ERYTHRINA IN CONSORTIUM WITH COCOA

One of the biggest challenges for landscape management in southern Bahia is the differentiation, through remote sensing, of natural forests and agroforestry systems, especially the Cabruca system, characteristic of southern Bahia. Even more challenging has been the differentiation between traditional cocoa farming systems (Cabruca) and contemporary systems (safs, total felling). The general objective of this work is to identify a method for the characterization of Erythrina in cocoa growing areas in their production systems in the CEPLAC area. The work was carried out in the area of the Executive Commission of the Plan of the Cacaueira Farm, located on the Ilhéus-Itabuna highway. Initially, an extensive bibliographical research was carried out in existing studies related to the forest structure of the agroforestry systems used in the region, in addition, field work was carried out to support a mapping that was carried out in a Geographic Information System environment, in the free software Google Earth Engine and the free software QGIS. To estimate the accuracy, the results will be submitted to Kappa coefficient analysis. In this sense, this dissertation proposes a contribution to the development of a methodology to differentiate Erythrinas from other arboreal systems, thus facilitating the dimensioning of actions for forest management and ordering of agroforestry production in southern Bahia.
