SUMMARY:

Dengue is an arbovirus of wide relevance in Brazil and in the world and that causes a significantimpact in terms of morbidity and mortality. In the Americas, they have shown an upwardtrendinthe number of notifications. Among the various reasons, the increase in temperatureandchanges in rainfall levels stand out, as well as the inefficiency of public policies in combatingthevector. The objective of this study was to analyze the predisposing factors for the occurrenceofdengue notifications in the period from 2017 to 2022. The research was carried out inEunápoliswith the support of the Municipal Health Department, which helped with the stratificationof theepidemiological data reported by the National Notification System (SINAN) and theNational Dengue Control Program System (SisPNCD). The climatological data of humidity, rainfall andtemperature were extracted from the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET). To describethecategorical variables, measures of absolute and relative frequency will be used and todescribenumerical variables, according to adherence to normal distribution by applying the ShapiroWilktest. During the study period, 2778 notified cases of dengue were registered, of which1810wereconfirmed by laboratory methods or epidemiological link. Among those confirmed, 235werehospitalized and 1 died. The most affected age group was between 15 and 64 years. Theaveragecompensated temperature varied between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. The precipitationrangedfrom 8.4 to 421mm, peaking between December and January. The building infestationindex(IIP)ranged from 0.3-1.7%. From the study of notifications, it is possible to drawan epidemiological profile and describe the behavior of dengue, in the period in which, at the same time, healthservices were overloaded by the Covid-19 pandemic.
