In the relentless pursuit of generating profit and wealth, modern societies have transformed landscapes around the world, ignoring the importance of the environmental impacts of their activities on the environment. Inadequate garbage disposal and solid urban waste management have become increasingly discussed issues around the world, and Brazil is part of this scenario, which has Law No. National Solid Waste Policy (PNRS). Universities stand out in this scenario as promoters of knowledge and model practices, which make it possible to carry out changes in favor of improving sustainability on the planet. In this way, the present study proposes to know the UFSB solid waste management model on the Paulo Freire campus, based on the performance of the technical-administrative staff, professors, students and outsourced workers in this process, reflecting on the limits and possibilities its best implementation. The present study will be carried out through qualitative and quantitative research, with analysis of the UFSB Solid Waste Management Plan, including consultation with the annual reports and documents of the management of the Paulo Freire Campus, as well as interviews with the crowded servants in the main sectors that generate and deal with solid waste. Interviews will be carried out using a form in digital format, with students, teachers, administrative technicians and outsourced workers, seeking to record their position on how sustainable practices are carried out in the your study or work environment, what are its limitations and possibilities. The information obtained can be used as a basis for raising awareness of possible investments in resources, such as training people, acquiring new technologies, spending on advertising, among others, to train individuals who are well integrated into the process of environmental conservation, demonstrating new points view on environmental management practices, separation and disposal of solid waste.
