SUMMARY:

The mangrove ecosystem has been brutally destroyed, with that, the need arises to develop policies aimed at better environmental management. The objective of this work was to analyze and create a spatial dynamic model of the phenomenon of growth in the vicinity of the mangrove swamp of the Buranhém river in the city of Porto Seguro, and for modeling the neighborhood of Tororão was chosen, as it presents characteristics of an expanding neighborhood and its proximity to the study estuary. Images from the CBEARS 4A satellite from the years 2020 and 2022 and orthophotos provided by the municipal government of Porto Seguro from the years 2018 and 2019 were used, the images were used to perform the manual classification of classes of type, hydrography, vegetation, exposed soil and occupied area. In this way, it was possible to identify two models of disorganized growth and development of the occupied areas and to relate this pattern to the environmental impacts of the study area and the relationship with clandestine and irregular subdivisions. In order to predict a scenario of mangrove land occupation, the Dinâmica EGO platform was used in order to obtain the main components of spatial modeling, making models for the years 2024, 2026 and 2028. After making the data related to expansion urban area in the neighborhood of Tororão, it was possible to relate that irregular subdivisions have proven to be a serious problem to be faced by administrators and administrators since it is a social phenomenon that has been widespread throughout the country, considering the numerous environmental and social impacts.
