How 7 to 11 years aged children perceive and connect to nature in pandemic's time
Connectedness to nature. Childhood. Covid-19.
The connection to nature contributes to healthy development of children, promotes subjective well-being and influences environmentally friendly behaviors. In this sense, the project aims to analyze the children's connection to nature during the Covid-19 pandemic, from the perception of ~70 children (aged 7 to 11 years) in Porto Seguro (BA). The research comprises the focus group for data collection. Qualitative data will be analyzed according to the Collective Subject Discourse technique. We expect to describe the children's connection to nature during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as to subsidize parents and educators to act more effectively in promoting practices that connect children to nature.
