  • Information and communication technologies have proved to be important allies of Primary Health Care in ensuring comprehensive and longitudinal care, which enhances the relationship between health professionals and their patients, thus eliminating geographical and temporal barriers. In the specific case of the municipality of Salvador, Bahia, the Municipal Health Department (SMS) launched the “Salvador Protege” program, aimed at primary care, which was initially intended to combat the coronavirus, and which in the post-pandemic period , it should also serve for the care and follow-up of other clinical conditions. Thus, the present work sought to analyze the elaboration of this program, identifying in its basic documents the applicability and importance of telemedicine in primary care and the main challenges for its implementation. This is a qualitative descriptive research, of the “document analysis” type, which included technical notes and other official documents about the program in its investigation. The analysis of the data obtained used the technique of content analysis. The results found point to a range of potentialities of telemedicine in primary care, in order to restructure work processes at this level of care, and in a broader 3/2 perspective, stimulate public policies aimed at improving the quality of care provided to citizens.

  • Interprofessional collaboration is a fundamental strategy for teamwork, especially in the Family Health Strategy. Thus, this study aims to analyze the insertion of the medical professional in the Family Health Strategy (FHS) in a small city in the interior of Bahia, in the light of the ideals of Primary Health Care (PHC) with a view to overcoming the biomedical model, from the perspective of its members. Also, to identify the rationality and the knowledge that guide the medical professional's performance in health care; to describe the medical performance as a member of the FHS team; and to analyze the physician's insertion and the interprofessional relationships that are established in the scope of Primary Health Care/FHS, focusing on the power relations within the multiprofessional teams. This work is a field, exploratory and qualitative investigation, of the Case Study type, having specifically two units of the Family Health Strategy as cases. Bardin's Content Analysis will be used to analyze the collected data. As a data collection technique, individual interviews (structured) will be used, with the use of a questionnaire, printed and/or online, with the use of guiding questions in the script. As a result, in view of all this context, the following themes emerged: 2 major Thematic Categories: 1) Rationality: biomedical versus interdisciplinary (knowledge ecology); 2) Medical practice: uniprofessional versus interprofessional collaborative and 3) Physician: "center of power" versus "member of a multiprofessional team". Given this context, the following themes emerged: 1) Medical professional as the center of power with its categories: 7.1 Rationality: biomedical versus interdisciplinary (ecology of knowledge) in which the categories: 7.1.1 Rationality: biomedical with devaluation of other knowledge and 7.1.2 Interdisciplinary Rationality (Ecology of knowledge) and horizontal relations. The theme 7.2 Medical practice: single professional versus collaborative interprofessional practice, with the categories: 7.2.1 Single professional and solitary practice and 7.2.2 Collaborative practice and interprofessional work. And the theme 7.3 Physician: "center of power" versus "member of a multiprofessional team" with the categories: 7.3.1 Physician developing single-professional work oriented by exclusively biomedical knowledge, 7.3.2 Physician developing collaborative work in multiprofessional team oriented by multiple

    knowledge, and 7.3.3 collaborative competencies.

  • The brazilian single health system, conceived in a historical context of struggles, claims and achievements, remains a challenge. Primary Health Care here in Brazil was designed to be its "backbone". The Family Health Strategy has the mission to transform the model of care and health services delivery, towards a new health care model characterized by a focus on health promotion, disease prevention, rehabilitation, and bonding, with integrality, longitudinality, and family/community orientation. The brazilian single health system struggles with chronic underfunding, lack of qualified management, and strong opposition from the private sector. Objective: To know and analyze the Social Representations of workers of the Family Health Strategy in the municipality of Coaraci, and their adherence to the principles and values of The brazilian single health system and Primary Health Care in the light of the dispute between health care models. Method: This work is a field, exploratory and qualitative investigation, of the Case Study type, specifically having two units of the Family Health Strategy as cases. Data collection was carried out by means of single Interview and semi-structured questionnaire, between September and October 2022. The data were processed using the Content Analysis method (Bardin). The sample included 18 participants. Results: After processing and analyzing the data, the following Thematic Categories with their respective subcategories emerged: The brazilian single health system for the Poor versus The brazilian single health system for All; Primary Health Care as the "Gateway" and the The Family Health as a "Primary Health Care Reorganization Strategy"; Ideal The brazilian single health system / Primary Health Care Enrolled in the Law/Paper Versus Real The brazilian single health system / Primary Health Care Lived in Everyday Life → The Insufficiency and/or Poor Management/Application of Resources; The brazilian single health system is Good, but can be Improved. Discussion: From the set of interviewees in Teams Alfa and Beta, there was a considerable amount of interviews that demonstrate the importance of the The brazilian single health system. Voices problematized its actions and applicability in the "real world," but there are those who walk in the opposite direction, seeing a The brazilian single health system beyond its structural problems and recognizing in it a social driving force, its universal and inclusive character. Concluding Remarks: The most significant Social Representations found in this context were: The knowledge of The brazilian single health system (credibility, trust); The ignorance of The brazilian single health system (disbelief, discredit). It is necessary to intensify knowledge about the The brazilian single health system, its principles and

guidelines, integrating care practices to the social and democratic conception of health.

  • Studies show that interprofessional collaboration improves patient care, in particular, making the health care of pregnant women safer, more effective and comprehensive, and that oral health significantly contributes to qualify the prenatal care offered at the health unit. The proposal of this work was motivated by the need to understand the interprofessional work and the integrality of care in the family health team during prenatal care. Considering prenatal care: in a historic construction, from PAISM to Rede Cegonha; as a practice of comprehensive care to women's health that can contribute to interprofessional concepts and practices in AB; and that can make up a broader and more multiple care process in the ESF and in the territory, our guiding question was “how can the team's work process be adjusted to achieve comprehensive care for pregnant women, with incorporation of care in oral health?”. In this sense, the main objective of the research was to strengthen interprofessional collaboration in prenatal care carried out by the family health team at the USF Zulmira Barros, through an evaluation process and the articulation of a shared agenda of care, prevention and health promotion. It is a participatory methodology with an intervention proposal, qualitative and exploratory, which proposes to explore the phenomenon of prenatal care from the perspective of pregnant women and the experience of health team professionals at the USF Zulmira Barros, relating to interpersonal 4/3 and interprofessional issues. The action-reflection-action process proposed for this research was structured through a workshop strategy, and data collection was carried out through the collective construction of the SWOT matrix and the competences and skills matrix during the participation in the workshops. The study population consisted of pregnant women who underwent prenatal care at the health unit in the last six months and members of the health team who agreed to participate in the research by signing the consent form, approved by the Research Ethics Committee. The organization and analysis of the data served for the construction of a work instrument that could highlight the relational techniques and privilege transversal communication between the team members.

  • As a social and historical phenomenon, violence has been part of the human experience since the dawn of societies and is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) as one of the main public health problems. Thus, it is important to highlight that since the beginning of the 2000s, the Family Health Strategy (FHS) has been expanding the scope of actions, with increasingly broader responsibilities, aiming to address problems that were less frequent or absent from the health agenda. Health, such as welcoming victims of violence. In this sense, the research aimed to analyze the care practices of the Family Health Strategy and the intersectoral network in welcoming victims of violence in a municipality in Southern Bahia. This is an exploratory qualitative study, developed with 4 Family Health Teams in the city of Porto Seguro-BA. Data were collected in three stages, the first being the survey of specialized literature in the Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO), National Library of Medicine (Medline) and Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences (LILACS) databases. Using the keywords: violence; vulnerabilities; social differences; intersectoriality; Family Health Strategy. The second was the documentary analysis by the records of information produced by the intervention project on violence in the territory in the years 2017 and 2018, during PETSaúde/ GraduaSus. Finally, in the third stage, focus groups were held from November to December 2021, formed by health professionals, community agents and professionals from the support network to combat violence, totaling a sample of 36 participants. After collection, the data were transcribed and analyzed using the content analysis proposed by Bardin, organized into the following categories: “Weakness of the biopsychosocial care model in the approach to the work process”; “Undernotification and invisibility of violence”; “Impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic and discontinuation of actions”; “Booklet of Approach to Confronting Different Types of Violence”; "The place of the victim". The categories show that professionals recognize the fragility of the protection network for victims of violence, the absence of structural conditions and disarticulation between services, especially during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic. They also point out that the daily routine of these services is permeated by the reduction in the number and turnover of professionals, precarious working conditions with inadequacy for 4/3 the development of care, in addition to the gaps in training and awareness. It is concluded that health professionals are unprepared to deal with cases of violence, can mainly identify physical injuries, focus on the biological approach, do not carry out the notification in a compulsory way, which represents an obstacle to visibility, consequently, they do not seek strategies of confrontation. In this sense, it is necessary actions of Permanent Education on the subject.

  • The emergence of a new Coronavirus in 2019 generated numerous concerns in the world due to its rapid spread. Initially, knowledge about the disease was scarce, but as the pandemic progressed, they multiplied along with beliefs and fake news. The World Health Organization has issued warnings about the severity of SARS-CoV-2 and the need for interventions. However, the complexity of the pandemic produced repercussions in territories that go beyond biological and epidemiological aspects, causing impacts on health and other social dimensions of life. Primary Health Care (PHC) stands out in this context as a powerful tool for coping with the virus. Objective: to analyze how the population in the area covered by the PHC perceives and translates COVID-19 prevention and control measures into everyday practices. Method: This is a cross-sectional study with methodological integration (quantitativequalitative approach) and of an exploratory nature, developed with the population of the territories covered by two Family Health Strategy Teams (FHS) in Porto Seguro -BA. Data collection was carried out through a structured questionnaire (sociodemographic data, relationship with the ESF and sources of information, perceptions and practices for the prevention and control of Covid-19) and through dialogued interviews (which addressed the 4/3 confrontation, information and impacts of the pandemic). The analysis of quantitative and qualitative data was performed with the support of SPSS and IRAMUTEC software, respectively. Results and Discussion: 144 questionnaires were applied, with predominantly female participation (75.7%), mixed race (55.6%) and family income of one minimum wage (52.8%). The interviewees (90%) received information about hand washing (93.1%), use of alcohol gel (96.5%) and use of a mask (96.5%). Health professionals in the territory were the main source of information (76.3%) and the most reliable (74.3%) with a statistically significant association (p<0.05) between mask use and individuals who obtain information through of health professionals. The Descending Hierarchical Classification identified seven classes that formed three categories: 1) “Covid-19 prevention measures and the Informational Universe”, in which protection strategies are used at different levels, greater difficulty in achieving distancing, feeling of confusion with the excess of news and the need to check the veracity of the information; 2) “Surviving the pandemic: psychosocial aspects related to Covid19”, in which the changes promoted by the pandemic resulted in psychological suffering, related to grief, infodemics and social isolation and precariousness of life, mainly linked to job loss; 3) “Fighting the pandemic: government policies and the role of PHC”, in which government officials are responsible for implementing measures to control the coronavirus, low credibility to the speeches of public agents and the importance of the FHS in assistance health in the territories in the midst of the pandemic. Final considerations: The interviewees' perceptions are not limited to prevention measures, but involved political, economic and subjective issues. The inseparable character of such themes indicates that the health sector's approach to facing the pandemic must encompass social issues, since they are essential in overcoming health inequities aggravated by Covid-19.

  • Prenatal care seeks to ensure the development of healthy pregnancies for both mother and baby, and it is important to implement health education practices as a strategy to qualify care, expand services, and reduce possible complications. The modality of care through operative groups for pregnant women as a form of collective care is significant in the optimization of the work, in the active participation of the user in the educational process, and in the increase of the bond with the professionals, providing a basis for communication, learning, and new knowledge elaboration. The purpose of this study was to examine pregnant women's perceptions of care and health education strategies in face-to-face meetings and remote operative groups in the PHC setting, with a focus on the themes addressed in the remote operative groups. In addition, it identified and analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the remote groups of pregnant women in the PHC setting, based on the PichonRivière evaluation vectors. This is a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive study, whose theoretical framework was based on the articulation between the psychodynamic approach grounded in the Operative Group Theory developed by Pichon-Rivière and the educational dimension, based on Paulo Freire's pedagogy. 4/5 Interviews were conducted with nine pregnant women who had prenatal care in two public health units in Ilheus (BA). Bardin's content analysis procedures were used to analyze the reports. The results highlighted the categories “Care and health education actions in PHC”, “Communication”, and “Learning”. Among the main conclusions, one can highlight the importance of access to prenatal care with an emphasis on a closer relationship between professionals and pregnant women with dialogue as the basis. The pregnant women's group was a relevant space for health education because it allows for sharing experiences and knowledge construction consistent with the needs, possibilities, and potentialities in bond formation, the clarification of doubts, and the promotion of pregnant women's autonomy. Weaknesses were pointed out regarding the access to exams needed during pregnancy and the need for greater adherence of pregnant women to groups. A demand for more information on topics associated with pregnancy was also identified, particularly the birth plan, the right to be accompanied, and pregnant women's labor rights.

  • Individuals achieve comprehensive care when we transform multidisciplinary teamwork into shared actions, with a focus on interdisciplinarity and interprofessionality. The Multidisciplinary Residencies in Health seek to develop skills from the perspective of interprofessional education in the collaborative work process carried out in the service. The objective was to analyze the course of interprofessionality from education to practice in a Multiprofessional Residency Program in Family Health at a Southern Bahia university, from the pedagogical proposal of the course to the interprofessional knowledge and practices applied by residents in the health service and from the perspective of residents and preceptors. The qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research used document analysis and semi-structured interviews techniques with preceptors and residents of the second year of the Multiprofessional Residency in Family Health, in two municipalities in the south of Bahia. The collected data were analyzed using Bardin's content analysis technique. The results emerged in three main themes with their respective categories and subcategories: “Dialogue of the PRMSF's Pedagogical Political Project with interprofessionality”; “Residents' perceptions of 3/3 interprofessionality in the practice of the ESF”; and “Perceptions of the preceptors about the pathway of interprofessionality in the Program, from theory to practice”. The themes allowed broadening discussions about the problem in areas of training and professional practice. It is concluded that interprofessional training presents theoretical foundations and its materialization is verified in the professional practice of residents, that results in the improvement of health care provided and learning among professionals. However, some complicating factors are pointed out, such as the unprepared preceptors to exercise this role. It is important that education, service and management need to share responsibilities in order to reach new health realities, based on the promotion of spaces for discussion and dialogue between these actors.

  • The Interactive Community Therapy (ICT) is a complementary health therapy inserted in the National Policy for Integrative and Complementary Practices of the Brazilian National Health Service - SUS, which intends to address aspects related to the human suffering of people in a collective matter, preferably using resources and skills of people, communities, and networks, such as those found in workplaces. This experience report aimed to describe the intervention carried out using ICT in the scope of Primary Care, with health workers, highlighting the need to intervene in the psychological distress of front line health professionals, who were dedicated to caring for the population during the covid-19 pandemic, highlighting the feelings, anguishes and concerns of their daily life in regards to the exercise of their professional functions, in face of a health system which is crowded and unprepared to meet their affective or emotional demands in a systematic way. Regarding qualitative and descriptive approaches, TCI's own tools and instruments were used. As a result of the experience, some knowledge brought by health workers during and after the TCI circles can be raised, so that it can be rethought in the future to improve the care of County Primary Care health workers. This study showed the potential of TCI as a builder of psychosocial support networks facing health workers’ demands, in addition to revealing the need to implant and implement TCI as a complementary integrative practice in the County SUS’s policy, in order to improve the work and environment conditions in Primary Care, to minimize the impacts of work overload and stress, at the same time as resuming horizontal and purposeful dialogue with the SUS management, to meet the demands of these workers who, on a daily basis, serve and care for people already in physical and mental suffering, even after the pandemic.

  • Sickle cell disease is a term used to name a group of genetic alterations characterized by the presence of a beta S globin gene and its variations. All these alterations have similar clinical manifestations ("anemias") and despite some particularities, their study is considered as a group. This disease is considered a public health problem declared by the World Health Organization (WHO) due to its high prevalence and severity of symptoms and complications. However, because it predominantly reaches the Afrodescendant population, research and intervention on sickle cell disease is historically neglected. The objective of this study is to implement the improvement course "Integral Care of the Person with Sickle Cell Disease", as a strategy of Permanent Education in Health, through active methodologies, which use the technique of Active Learnig Teams and Inverted Classroom, in 05 (five ) synchronous weekly meetings, and asynchronous meetings in WhatsApp groups . The target audience of this course will be the health professionals and workers of Primary Care and the students of the Interdisciplinary Bachelor Degree in Health and the Medical Course of the UFSB.

  • In the psychosocial care model, care proposes a therapeutic itinerary that takes into account the historical construction of the subject and his relationship with the territory, in addition to comprehensive care practices. The perceptions of mental health care in the context of family health, identified in the literature, provide the need to rethink the humanization of care, comprehensiveness, universality and the guarantee 3/3 of equity. Despite the existence of movements in the health field in an attempt to implement this new way of thinking, there are obstacles to achieving dignified and comprehensive care. Such obstacles are related to inadequate communication between professionals in the care network services, the prevalence of care based on medicalization, the fragmentation of care, the fragility of the matrix support process, the lack of professional training and difficulties related to the training of these professionals. based on biomedical knowledge. In this sense, the defense of the expansion of therapeutic offers of the teams with psychosocial tools, as well as the training of health professionals to disseminate actions in mental health, aims to stimulate the construction of more effective therapeutic flows and projects in line with other services in the network of health. This is a way to achieve mental health care and promotion in the context of Family Health and in an integrated way to the care network within the proposal of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform. In the words of Saraceno (1996), it is important to understand health care as a recognition of the subject beyond their disease, in the perspective of the unique meanings of their mental and physical suffering and their life processes as a whole, in all scenarios occupied by him (service/home/community). Mental Health (MH) in Primary Care (AB) faces major challenges in its daily life. Among them, there are those related to health workers to add resoluteness to mental health actions developed in the context of Primary Care, such as the little appreciation of the act of "listening" in everyday consultations. This research project aims to analyze the meanings of the production of mental health care in the context of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) and the reorientations of practices in the service, based on social constructionism, according to Mary's Social Psychology Jane Spink . Professionals from specialized mental health services (Biopsychosocial Care Centers and Ambulatory) and professionals from the territories covered by ESF's, in the municipality of Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, Brazil participated in the study. Data collection took place from July 2020 to March 2021. The semi-structured interview technique was used, in a meta-presential situation, with the consent of the participants signing the consent form. The script was previously prepared and tested for this purpose - based on the theoretical framework of Social Constructionism; the interpretative repertoires found in the bibliographical survey on the subject; and the validated scales - Work Impact Assessment Scale in Mental Health Services (IMPACTO-BR) and Family Satisfaction Assessment Scale with Mental Health Services (SATIS-BR) (BANDEIRA, PITTA & MERCIER, 2000, 2000, p. 105-115). The contents of the dialogues were analyzed from the identification of the interpretative repertoires of the contents of the speeches and their intertwining with the investigated literature and the interpretation of the researchers. It was observed that this research provided two main lines of categories. The first focused on the meanings about the conceptualization of mental health care processes in their entirety: “The meanings of mental health care processes”. This theme made it possible to start the reflection on the second line of meanings aimed at the main objective of the research: “The meanings of mental health care practices in the context of the Family Health Strategy”. The analysis of these categories allowed the reflection that the process of consolidation of care in the SUS must occur through the strengthening of care based on dialogic listening between professionals and the community. Since, the promotion of mental health privileges care centered on the person and the community and attention to the meanings attributed by the subjects to their health processes; that is, it deals with the emotions, perceptions and meanings of everyday life and, consequently, strengthens actions to promote the subjects' integral health.

  • The SUS Network – School, as a collaborative space for the formation of individuals, collaborative exchanges, qualified listening, meeting with reality, stimulus of knowledge by previous experience and others, tends to be a fundamental strategy for the consolidation of workers with a profile of professional competence and human. This work deals with the challenges and advances found in the implementation of Residency Programs in Family and Community Medicine in the daily services and inter-physician relations, through the experience of articulation and construction of the Residency Project in Family Medicine and Community in the Municipality of Porto Seguro in the South of Bahia. In the context of reporting an experience, the work comprehends as challenges the condition of the Health Primary Attention network as a space of low density, that is, of low use of hard technologies and, considering the high emphasis given by medical sciences to technicality, demarcator of hard technologies. It considers that medical professionals, in their training processes, are very little prepared to work with subjectivities, which are the result of conditioning and determining factors in the cultural and social relationships of the individuals and that directly imply the health-disease relationship. It also considers that the model of historical, curricular and fragmenting training, aimed at training specialists for the labor market, has not yet qualified the medical professional for teamwork, with this skill being a fundamental requirement for the quality of work in the Primary Care, especially in family health teams. Considering that, although the new formations excel by the use of active methodologies and by bringing the medical student closer to the social and historical reality of the subjects, most preceptors/tutors still protect the traditional and vertical model in their practices. And finally, despite the structure of the Municipal Network comprising the Project, the policy management factors at national and local level, which compromised the execution of the proposal presented and approved.

  • The medical training in Brazil has been undergoing significant changes to be able to meet the demands from the Brazilian society and the Unified National Health System (SUS). The primary health care (APS) is set to be the gateway to the SUS, so that is where approximately 80% of the health issues are expected to be resolved. Therefore, it is important that there are 4/3 practitioners at the family health units (USF) with extensive education on that field of action. Despite the restructuring of the medical education, motivated by the new curricular guidelines from 2014, little is found in the literature about the changes and impacts on the education and the experiences about the APS as a field of action. For that reason, the aim of this paper is to compare the Medical Residency Program in Medicine of Family and Community (PRMMFC) in the context of the redesign of the medical education and the reorientation of its scenarios of practice brought by the curricular restoration and the Mais Médicos Program, in Salvador – Bahia. A study will be developed, with qualitative approach, to directly observe each PRMMFC through workshops ran with the supervisors of each program. The workshop-like interview will be made for the systematization of the main potentialities and weaknesses that influence the achievement of the residency’s goals on the services networks of the municipal APS through the creation of a SWOT matrix (acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threat). Moreover, a documentary analysis will be made, based on the available guidelines, in order to create historical lines of the creation of the programs in Bahia in the last ten years to understand the reflection of the incentive public policies to the education of new practitioners, specialists, that can meet the SUS needs. Similarly, a documentary survey will be conducted to provide understanding of the five programs of residency in medicine of family and community (MFC) in the city of Salvador in 2020. Therefore, the results will indicate in what scenario the residencies in MFC in Salvador are in, and what are the relations with other situations experienced and described in the literature. Finally, this paper will point out the impacts that the public policies brought to the improvement of the medical professional on this specialty.

  • Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is an important and growing public health problem for all countries, regardless of their level of development. Among the most frequent complications, there is the diabetic foot, which can severely compromise a person's life, from physical disability caused by non-traumatic amputation, to death. The objective is to evaluate the proposed use of the electronic instrument for identifying the risk of diabetic foot (e-Ped) in the routine consultations of professionals of the Family Health Strategy, in the city of Porto Seguro (BA). This is a quantitative and qualitative research, with doctors and nurses from two Family 3/3 Health Units in the city. The e-Ped proposal was used and brought as results, in addition to the importance of technology in prevention and care, the need for the commitment of professionals and continuing education so that technology can contribute positively to identifying the risk of this complication in patients affected by the disease.

  • Health territories transcend spatial, geographic and environmental demarcations that are living spaces permeated by cultural, economic, political, social and health conditions and determinants. Territorial analysis requires information that reflects the reality of populations, favoring the operationalization of decisions and social actions, in addition to strategic public policies. These dynamic territories are home to traditional populations such as riverside dwellers, whose collective identity is the result of decades of construction. It is necessary to understand these populations as subjects of rights, especially with regard to public services considered essential for a dignified life. Primary Health Care must play the role of welcoming the demands of these populations, favoring access to health and minimizing problems caused by the inefficiency of public policies in these regions. The objective of the research is to carry out a situational analysis and understand how communities have access to Primary Care services in seven riverside communities in the Vale do Rio de Ondas, located in the western region of Bahia, in the municipality of Barreiras. The research was guided by the Socio-Demographic Inventory (ISD), a collection instrument that facilitates contact and building relationships between the researcher and the community. Data collection took place through semi-structured interviews with residents and key actors from seven riverside communities. The emphasis of the research was on: the history of the communities, geographic accessibility, housing conditions, basic sanitation, community leadership, education, religiosity and mental health of riverside populations during a pandemic period. Thus, it was possible to know the local conditions, contribute to the strengthening of the identities of the populations that inhabit the territories and sensitize managers and public authorities of the need to implement a Health Unit in the region and improve the quality of access to public services that interfere in the physical and mental health of the population.

  • Education is a unique tool regarding the act of transmitting knowledge and modifying practices, providing the population with knowledge based on scientific information. In this context, it is emphasized that for learning to be effective, it is necessary that the experience of the communication process is 4/3 bidirectional, that is, that the biopsychosocial scenario is considered and that individual experiences are respected in order to ensure that knowledge is assimilated. Based on this assumption, the Young Doctor Project makes individuals protagonists in the process of building learning, sharing information regarding health promotion and disease prevention. Regarding the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic, the originality of the pathology associated with digital technologies, resulted in the dissemination of information that did not have scientific proof, the Fake News; which hindered the measures to combat the transmission of the new coronavirus. In this sense, this study had as general objective to implement the Young Doctor Project at the Federal University of Southern Bahia in what concerns the fight against the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic; being organized in the following specific objectives: to carry out bibliographic reviews on education, social networks, active learning teams and the new coronavirus pandemic; enable a more active participation of medical students in socio-educational actions about the pandemic in the community under the supervision of teachers; enhance the form of transmission of knowledge on health-related topics, from the integration of technological resources; disseminate important knowledge for promoting health and fighting the pandemic with elementary school students and teachers. The methodology used was the use of systematic reviews for the consolidation of research from theoretical references and the implementation of the Young Doctor Project in Teixeira de Freitas, which included methodological strategies aimed at the integration between teaching, service and community. The results obtained were 5/3 organized into four chapters: “Permanent education as a multiplier tool in Health: an integrative review from the perspective of professionals who make up health”; “The participation of social networks in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic”; “Active learning teams in health education: teaching-servicecommunity in the prevention of contamination by Covid-19”; “Young Doctor Project as a health education tool in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic: an experience report”. From this perspective, it was possible to address extremely important topics for confronting the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic and all 28 actors involved in this study reported satisfaction in being able to discuss and resolve doubts on this topic. It is considered, therefore, that the debate between different educational levels, based on interactive content and with scientific proof, were crucial for the information to be assimilated and understood and for new multipliers in health to be formed, enabling truthful information to be shared in the community.

  • In the work process of a family health team, user embracement is essential for the organization of services, favoring greater access to users, qualified listening, and adequate addressing of problems. This 3/3 research aimed to analyze the reception of users of primary care in a municipality in the state of Bahia, understanding the facilities and difficulties in this process from the perceptions of health professionals and users. The research had a descriptive and exploratory character with a qualitative approach. Regarding the technical procedure, a field study was carried out in which there was direct observation of the activities of the studied groups and interviews with informants to capture their perceptions about the analyzed process. At first, a bibliographic study was carried out on concepts such as welcoming, humanization, vulnerabilities, Family Health Strategy, Primary Health Care, work process and social participation, as well as the analysis of municipal documents on welcoming in health. Subsequently, systematic observation and application of two semi-structured interview scripts with health professionals and users. This work did not seek to exhaust the subject, but to understand the reception in the work process, alerting to its weaknesses in service and in user satisfaction and improvement of these services.

  • In order to ensure the completeness of care, the Single Health System (SUS) is structured at different levels of health care that provide services with different care technologies through health care networks (SAN). In order for patient care in these service networks to be resolute, effective communication among the health services that comprise them is necessary. This study aims to evaluate the quality of communication between health professionals at different levels of care in the city of Itabuna, from the analysis of interviews conducted with a sample of adult users referred by Primary Health Care (PHC) to the Outpatient Cardiology Unit of the Calixto Midlej Filho Hospital, attending physicians, referral reports and medical records of these services. The interviewees must sign an Informed Consent Form (TCLE). The analysis of the content of all collected material will be performed, seeking to identify the patients' therapeutic itinerary and the problems of the SUS reference and counter-reference system, as well as possible solutions. The Project will be submitted to evaluation by the Research Ethics Committee through the Brazil Platform.

  • Population aging has brought new challenges to health systems. The presence of chronic conditions, accompanied by multimorbidity, fragility and functional disability in a considerable part of this elderly population has limited the opportune and continued access of these individuals to health services or even restricting them to the home. 3/3 Care for the elderly at home, therefore, tends to be episodic and fragmented, increasing the risk of iatrogenesis. Family Health teams work close to the communities where these elderly people live, having the possibility to offer continuity and coordination of care from home, but have difficulty recognizing the characteristics and needs of this vulnerable population group and how to reorganize themselves for the provision this care. Thus, studies that seek to characterize the vulnerabilities and health needs of this population group and how care is organized for these individuals become relevant. This study is based on the theoretical framework of Dorothea Orem's Self-Care Deficit Theory to seek to better understand such care needs, as well as the care arrangements to meet them by the Family Health teams.

  • The current scenario of childbirth care in Brazil is characterized by excessive interventions and violation of the rights to human dignity. In this context, the movement for the humanization of childbirth calls for care that respects the physiological, is guided by Evidence-Based Medicine and involves women in decision-making at the time of delivery. Little widespread in the SUS, the birth plan acts as a dispute strategy for this model and represents a powerful self-analytical device in the actors involved in this scene: the woman, the prenatal professionals and the delivery care team. This study aimed to promote the birth plan as a strategy in the Primary Health Care network of women in the pregnancy-puerperal process from the experience of a Family Health Unit in the city of Camaçari, Bahia. Action research was developed with women in prenatal and puerperium. The empirical data were produced from the birth plans elaborated with the women in the pregnant women group and in the prenatal consultations and from the interviews with these parturients assisted in the reference hospital of the municipality. From the content analysis of the interviews, the following categories emerged: On the fringes of humanization, Witnesses to obstetric violence and "I said No!". It is concluded that the birth plan qualifies prenatal care in Primary Care as it acts as an information and preparation tool for childbirth, as it stimulates the sharing of decisions, contributes to the coordination of care and socially mobilizes the debate between professionals and women on childbirth care models. But there is still little visibility and interest to adhere to this strategy by the actors involved in hospital delivery care.

  • Brazil and some countires of the world have experienced changes in demographic structure as well as in regards to the perception that the elderly have about aging, old age and quality of life. It is important to emphasize that the aging process has its peculiarities and suffers different influences that permeate the concepts and debates on the topic. Studies indicate that the environment where an elderly person resides is a determining factor for such perceptions, and, although most of the population, in old Brazil lies in the urban area, there is a consensus about the ageing process in the countryside. The objective of the study is to understand the social perceptions of the elderly population living in the rural areas, about the aging process, their experiences in the community and also the understanding about the health / illness / care process. The research scenario was the municipality of Alcobaça, located in the extreme south of Bahia, which has 50% of its population living in rural areas. The approach of the study was both qualitative and quantitative, followed by a descriptive and exploratory methodological model. Eleven interviews were conducted, followiing a script of open and closed questions, and a quality of life questionnaire by OMS. The results indicated that the predominant age group was between 60-69 years of age (45.5%) and women (72.2%) and 54.5% were married. Most of the interviewees are retired (91%), with a monthly income of 1 to 2 minimum wages, but remain active through domestic duties and family farming activities. The results have shown that religiosity, family and social relations in rural areas have strong connection with emotional well-being and quality of life. The routine of work activities are felt as positive practices and common to the elderly people, as well as bringing a sense of belonging in their place of residence. As per the data collected, it sought to describe the scenario of care and life of these elderly people, aiming to undestand the meaning of old age in the rural environment, focusing, in elderly's perception of health and aging conditions, based on the ways of life and their subjectivities.

  • This qualitative case study aimed to analyze the autonomy/self-care of the subjects in the Family Health Strategy against social medicalization, in a Family Health Unit (USF). Through participant observation and research of clinical records, the data collected in the individual and collective consultations by health professionals of three USF teams, with adult patients, were submitted to content analysis, according to Bardin. The categories identified in the consultations were, a little active participation of the patient and prescriptive and disease-centered professional conduct, that gave rise to the theme of this study. It is concluded that the promotion of autonomy/self-care of the subjects appears in an incipient way, while the social medicalization prevails, giving the user the role of the recipient of the care and, to the professional, the decision making power over the health care of the other.

  • Medical graduation, one of the most sought after and popular in Brazil, is presented by an image of social status and financial stability. Being approved in a medical course means for many young people and their families the guarantee of a prosperous and promising future. This projection of a dream about the medical career may conflict with the undergraduate study and the years of hard and stressful study - overload of reading, difficulty in managing time, little leisure, responsibility and social expectations regarding the role of the doctor in society. These conditions predispose to loss of quality of life, suffering and development of mental disorders among students. Curricular changes, adoption of active learning methodologies, besides actions of promotion, prevention and support to the student in suffering, seem to propitiate the development of a more welcoming scenario in the medical school. Many universities have been supporting this movement, based on the National Curriculum Guidelines for Medicine (NCGs). The present study aimed to identify through the self-perception of the medical students from the State University of Santa Cruz (UESC), in the south of Bahia, the existence of mental suffering and stressor events after the beginning of the course, also producing a discussion through teachers' reports. The methodological orientation was of a case study, through qualitative research. The data were obtained by the application of semi-structured digital questionnaires to an intentional sample of 45 students and 10 teachers from 1st to 6th grade, and analyzed from the perspective of Discourse Analysis (coding of analytical axes and data grouping). The research is in line with ethical aspects of Resolution 466 of 2012, and was approved by the ethics and research committee. It was observed that 75% of participants considered presenting some type of mental disorder; almost 40% report having become ill after admission to the medical course, and half of these students attribute illness to stressful events due to graduation, such as excessive study requirements, absence of leisure activities, and sometimes abusive attitudes from the teachers. Most teachers perceive the situation and demonstrate that they do not receive institutional support to approach and support the student. The student narratives point to the structural weaknesses of the course and difficulties in adapting to the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method as possible stressors, a fact that, in general, diverges from the literature that works with the theme. It is concluded that mental suffering is present among UESC medical students; it is perceived that in addition to the causes often attributed to suffering in other studies, the current structure and organization of the course tends to have some negative impact on the students' level of stress; becomes evident the need to develop reflexive and democratic spaces that propitiate the communication between coordination of the course, teachers and students, aiming the planning of actions to promote the mental health of the student.

  • The creation of the professional Teams of Doctor's Office on the Street (CnR) in 2011 brought to the debate the challenges of caring for homeless people, with an emphasis on the assistance to pregnant women. Written in the book chapter format, this work is part of the results of an exploratory study, using the case study qualitative methodology, that aimed to report the context of vulnerability of pregnant women living on the streets who are drug users accompanied by a CnR in Salvador. In this text, the focus is brought to the gender violence suffered by these women, with emphasis on reproductive rights violations. Based on data from documentary analysis and from observant participation of the researcher, narratives of the stories of three women accompanied by the team were built. And such narrative when dialoguing with the theoretical references, bring to discussion the concept of acceptable motherhood and its influence on the reproductive rights of the women who participated on this research. The work attempts to understand the challenges faced by these pregnant women and also by the health teams, on the care of these women and ensuring the rights of these families to raise their children. Finally, the present study points out the pregnancy cycle as the time of greatest vulnerability of these women, but also as the time of greatest openness for psychosocial rehabilitation

  • After one century of considerable technology progress in all fields, including in the healthcare sector, the biomedical industry became a powerful actor in the healthcare where its products are excessively used, putting aside the therapeutic bond in the work process. Quaternary prevention (P4) inserts itself in a context of overuse of high technology, contributing to high rates of morbidity and mortality resulting from unnecessary procedures. The P4 was developed by Marc Jamoulle in 1986 to prevent adverse effects and protect patients from unnecessary medical interventions, proposing alternative therapies ethically acceptable. He was able to integrate a public health approach into individual clinical practice. The present study aimed to further, systematically, Quaternary Prevention concept. The second objective was to outline medical education emphasis in the specific context of P4. First, the authors realized e systematic review (SR) of the scientific production published till August of 2018, analized it qualitatively and under a bibliometric perspective. After this step, a bibliographic review on medical education history has been performed, and enabled to point historical and epistemological landmark that could be linked to the actual context of overmedicalization. 65 articles were included in the SR. Conceptual, geographical and linguistic aspects were highlighted as key elements that impacted the scientific production about P4, as well as the WONCA conferences and the type of healthcare system in the authors’ country. The Brazilian and Uruguayan authors were the leaders according to the publications number. Most of the papers used a bibliographic research method and focused on the causes and examples of overmedicalization, just as strategies to implement P4. In the second stage of the research, the authors noticed that iatrogenesis was already present in the Ancient Greece, at the principle of occidental medicine and medical education has been pointed as a potential strategy to tackle medical overuse. In this way, medical education would be able to promote a practical and critical conception on medicine, for example, through: discussions about the potential and limitations of evidence-based medicine (EBM), the development of communication skills, the improvement of a longitudinal care and bioethics. These are some ways that could impact the number of iatrogenic procedures. Actually, the volume of available literature is not enough to assess P4 relevance. However, the combination of the bibliography on overmedicalization and P4 could increase enoughly the size of the assessed scientific production and would constitute an answer to this standoff. In this perspective, medical education represents a high potential and low-cost tool to implement P4 and assess its impacts on health practice and indicators.

  • This research seeks to investigate the perception of users of a Family Health Center (USF), in the city of Camaçari-BA, about changes in their health through the Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICs) offered at this service (Lian Gong, Auriculoretapia, Acupuncture and Ozonotherapy). Such unconventional therapeutic resources, based on medical rationalities with their own diagnosis and therapeutics, have gained visibility and space in governmental agendas for their potential in promotion, prevention, treatment and rehabilitation in the field of Collective Health. Among the reasons for the expansion of these therapeutic practices in Western countries are the vitalist paradigm and the holistic approach, the promotion of autonomy and the strengthening of the centrality of the subjects. The World Health Organization, recognizing the importance of these practices, has been stimulating the implementation and expansion of PICS, or as it is called, Traditional and Complementary / Alternative Medicine. In Brazil, the Ministry of Health, through the National Policy of Integrative and Complementary Practices, has supported and stimulated the offer of these practices in the Unified Health System (SUS). However, access to these therapeutic resources still encounters barriers in their application, suffering prejudice and deprivation. Thus, studies that demonstrate the repercussions of the implementation of PICS in Primary Care have relevance insofar as they seek to endorse and legitimize the practice of Traditional and Complementary / Alternative Medicine in the country. It is, therefore, an exploratory research of the type of case study that seeks to answer the following research question: How do the Integrative and Complementary Practices of the Health Center Caminho do Mar affect health from the point of view of the users? From this central issue related issues arise: From the use of such practices, have these users observed a reduction in their pain symptoms? Did they notice reduction in symptoms of mental suffering? Have they reduced the number of medications, for example, for hypertension? Reduced demand for medical appointments and emergency services? These are questions that the study seeks to contemplate in order to contribute to the understanding of the role of Integrative and Complementary Practices in the health-disease-care process in Primary Care. Thus, semi-structured interviews were conducted with open questions and, after coding the data, the following categories of analysis were defined: Sense and use of Integrative and Complementary Practices; Promotion of health, quality of life and reduction of morbidity; Reduction of the need for biomedical interventions and increase in Autonomy; Light technologies in the care process; Valorization of the Family Health Strategy and SUS. From the analysis of the data, it is observed that the PICS have been shown to be an important resource for the promotion of comprehensive and integrative care in the USF studied, despite occupying a place still on the margins of the health system. In demonstrating users' satisfaction, such practices suggest the potential to rationalize the excess of biomedical intervention, in addition to contributing to the strengthening of the Family Health Strategy, as a resolutive health equipment at the service of the population.

  • In the health sector, the information must be understood as a reducer of uncertainties, an instrument capable of detecting priority attention focuses, acting as a fundamental subsidy in the decisionmaking process. The Health Information Systems (SIS) serve to organize the data, provide the permanent evaluation of the actions performed and health situation. In this context, the main objective of the present study is to evaluate the quality of production and use of information in the planning and management of the actions, considering the main existing Health Information Systems. The study was approved by the Research Ethics Committee. Initially, an exploratory and descriptive qualitative study was carried out, through documentary research on the health information systems most used in basic care. Then, through the electronic questionnaire, structured with nine closed questions and one open, it was verified that most of the professionals know the SIS of the basic attention, however, they access infrequently, they do not feel able to use them and they think that the functionalities contribute little to the work processes. It can be affirmed that, despite several advances, it is still necessary to overcome the limitations of health information, but the restructuring of SIS depends heavily on the involvement of SUS managers, health professionals and workers in the deployment, use and improvement SISAB and the e-SUS AB strategy. From the analysis of the open questions, new functionalities were proposed for the e-SUS, automated return scheduling, alarm systems for the users and interoperability among the various SIS of AB.
