RESUMO:

The research will carry out a study among students at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Bahia – IFBA, Campus Eunápolis, regarding their understanding of the Student Assistance Policy. The universe of work will comprise eighteen students distributed in the three teaching modalities of the Campus (Integrated, Subsequent, Higher) and among those covered and not covered by the Student Assistance and Support Program (PAAE) of 2019. Its general objective is to analyze understanding IFBA students, Campus Eunápolis, regarding the Student Assistance Policy. The main questions are: what will be the understanding of the students of the IFBA Campus Eunápolis, as a subject of rights, regarding the Student Assistance Policy? And how can the expressions of the social issue experienced by them influence this understanding? As for its approach, it is characterized as qualitative and as for its objectives, as exploratory and descriptive, since, while it aims to build familiarity with the problem, it intends not only to describe the characteristics of a particular group or reality, but to establish relationships between variables and understand the essence of this relationship. As for data collection, we divided into two phases, in the first, participants will answer a questionnaire with open and closed questions, available through a link on Google Forms, and in the second step, they will participate in a discussion group interview that will be guided by an interview script with semi-structured questions that will occur virtually through a videoconference application, Google Meet, following all the ethical principles required for data validation. Data analysis will be organized in three stages, the first is the ordering of the data, which is the mapping of the collected data, the second is the classification of data for further categorization and, finally, the final analysis, when the results are articulated with the theoretical framework.
