SUMMARY:

Among the different forms of violence against women, one of the most extreme is femicide, a crime that affects family members and especially the sons and daughters of the murdered woman because of her gender. The present study aims to analyze the emotional trajectories narrated by orphans of femicide. More specifically, it intends to carry out an integrative literature review regarding orphanhood due to femicide; understand in what ways maternal feminicide crosses the life trajectory of surviving children and adolescents; identify how the participants face the traumatic experience produced by maternal femicide; to know how the political and public dimensions of this type of violence are presented in the narratives produced by the participants. This is a qualitative field research whose data collection methodology was the Narrative Interview. Between 2 and 10 adults who experienced maternal loss due to femicide during childhood will participate in the study. Data will be analyzed from the perspective pointed out by Shutz for conducting narrative interviews. The aim of this research is to produce knowledge about a scenario that is still invisible and little explored, not only in Brazil but also in other countries of the world.
